Disclosures & Community Guidelines

We have a few simple rules about posts:

Be civil and respectful.

Respect others and don’t be a jerk—even if you disagree. Don’t post anything that’s inappropriate, offensive, profane, culturally, racially, or socially insensitive, disruptive, harassing or defamatory.

Stay on topic.

This is a place to talk about Stash and finances. Yes, many members of the Stash team also love burritos, but this is a place to talk about Stash and finances. Tangents are cool. Have fun. But keep things somewhat topical.

Stay secure.

Never post personal or sensitive information. This is a public community, so if you post something, everyone can see it. Keep your private information to yourself, and never post your Social Security number, account information, passwords, PINs, or anything else private on any of our social channels. Stash is not subject to obligation of confidentiality for information submitted to Stash through any social media platforms.

Be honest.

Never post fraudulent content or false information. Don’t post copyrighted content without permission.

No referral links (nor self-promotion).

Just don’t. No links for self-gain or advertisements of any kind. Don’t post referral links, SPAM, ads, or duplicate posts. Additionally, don’t attempt to promote investments (including posting testimonials, giving investment advice, or making recommendations about specific securities, securities strategies, products, or services) on Stash Social Space.

Social media sites have terms, too.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Discord, and all other social sites and apps have their own terms, conditions, and privacy standards. We don’t own these sites, so keep in mind that by using their services, you’re also agreeing to their terms, conditions, and rules.

The Ban Hammer is real.

Stash may monitor content published on Stash Social Space, though it is not obligated to do so, and may remove posts that do not adhere to Stash’s rules. In addition to removing posts that don’t follow our rules, we may suspend or block users that repeatedly violate our community guidelines. And when appropriate, we may report users who violate the law to law enforcement.

We believe in open dialogue and free exchange of ideas. That’s why we will never delete posts that are critical of Stash. But we do reserve the right to delete content that violates our community guidelines.

Our online communities are a place to chat, learn, and improve.

Everyone’s views are their own…

We don’t endorse anyone else’s views. Period. Your views are your own, and so are everyone else’s. Only official Stash accounts speak for Stash.

Links aren’t endorsements…

We sometimes share content or links for informational purposes or just for fun. This doesn’t mean we endorse the individual or company responsible for content. We also have some advertising relationships, but we’ll always let you know if a post is from a paid partner or sponsored in any way.

Connecting with customer service

If you have an account issue that you can’t solve, we encourage you to reach out to our customer service team here.

Ch-ch-changes…

We reserve the right to change these guidelines from time to time and without notice.

This hypothetical example assumes that a user selects the $1 Stash Beginner plan and invests $2.90 per day which is compounded daily using a 5% hypothetical annual rate of return. Under these assumptions a user would pay $486.00 over 40 years in fees to Stash. Under the model where a user pays $1, but then 25 bps annualized for cash above $5000, a user would pay $2,171.97 over 40 years in fees. The projections do not account for taxes or withdrawals. Client’s actual Stash invest account may be different for many reasons including, but not limited to, market fluctuations and volatility, changes in clients’ recurring investments, withdrawals, additional investments, time horizon, taxes and fees. Client’s should consider their objectives before investing. Investment outcomes and projections are forward-looking statements and hypothetical in nature. A client’s account balance may be more or less than their original investment. This example is for illustrative purposes only and is not indicative of the performance of any actual investment. Actual return and principal value may be more or less than the original investment.

Unfair Entry Barriers: For Securities priced over $1,000, purchase of fractional shares starts at 5¢.
