Stash, the investing app dedicated to empowering people to invest and build better lives, today announces its participation in the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, the largest CEO-driven business effort focused on advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace.

The initiative brings together business leaders from multiple industries, each of whom has signed the CEO Action Pledge and memorialized their commitment to:

  • Continue cultivating a workplace that supports open dialogue on diversity and inclusion;
  • Implement and expand unconscious bias education and training for employees, aiming to mitigate the impact of bias on decision-making processes;
  • Share best practices and learnings with other companies, driving collaborative efforts to improve diversity and inclusion across industries; and
  • Collaborate with other organizations to develop and implement strategies that address inequities and promote underrepresented groups’ advancement.

Stash is the first and only venture-backed fintech to join alongside the 2,400+ CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion signatories, which include American Express, PayPal, Salesforce, Pfizer, Adobe, and CVS. Stash’s participation builds on a suite of successful diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, such as a customized Inclusion Index administered in concert with the company’s employee engagement survey; annual unconscious bias training and education; Stash Allyship Awareness Month; and a thriving community of employee resource groups serving employees who identify as women, Black, Asian American Pacific Islander, Latine, and/or LGBTQ+.

“We’ve been actively living these commitments for a long time and they’re inextricably linked to our core values, mission, and vision. I’m thrilled to celebrate our efforts to make Stash an inclusive workplace for all, and to join this incredible community of executives and organizations in publicly acknowledging the work yet to be done,” said Liza Landsman, Stash CEO.

Just as Stash is changing the lives of millions of Americans by expanding access to tools and advice that will help them create a brighter financial future, the company is leading from the front when it comes to creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive world of work for generations of financial services professionals to come.
