Terms and Conditions

The Promotion

When you complete the designated registration process of opening a Personal Portfolio (as defined below) and complete your first deposit of at least $5 into it in accordance with the eligibility requirements set forth below, we will make a one-time deposit of funds into the cash balance of your Personal Portfolio and waive your monthly Stash Fee (as defined in your Advisory Agreement) for your Fee Waiver Period (as defined below). This Promotion is subject to the terms and conditions stated herein (the “Promotion Terms”).

The fee waiver available pursuant to this Promotion is for your monthly Stash Fee for your Fee Waiver Period only. Accordingly, you will remain responsible for any ancillary fees you owe that are not included in your monthly Stash Fee, whether due on your Personal Portfolio, Stash Smart Portfolio, Stash Banking account, Stash Retire account, or Stash Custodial account, as applicable, and your monthly Stash Fee once your Fee Waiver Period expires.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in this Promotion and receive Bonus Funds (as defined below), you must receive an invitation to participate in this Promotion directly from Stash and complete the following steps during the time period specified in your invitation: (i) successfully complete the designated registration process of opening an individual taxable brokerage account advised by Stash Investments LLC that is in good standing (a “Personal Portfolio”), as displayed by the interactive instructions shown via the Stash platform and/or your offer to participate; (ii) link a funding source (e.g. an external bank account) to your Personal Portfolio; AND (iii) agree to pay your Stash Fee by providing a valid credit or debit card payment method through the Stash Platform. On the exact date that you satisfy all of the conditions in the previous paragraph (which shall be deemed your “Eligibility Date”), Stash will make a one-time deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) into the cash balance of your Personal Portfolio within five business days (the “Bonus Funds”), and will waive your monthly Stash Fee for the period starting on your Eligibility Date and ending twelve (12) calendar months later (such period, your “Fee Waiver Period”).

For the avoidance of doubt, in the event you only complete the designated registration process to receive the Financial Counseling Service (if applicable to you, as such term is defined in your Advisory Agreement) from Stash, or you do not otherwise complete the designated registration process required for opening a Personal Portfolio in accordance with the above, you will not be eligible to receive the Bonus Funds under this Promotion. Further, you will not be eligible to participate in this Promotion if your payment method fails or is otherwise deemed invalid. Once your Fee Waiver Period expires, your Stash Fee will be assessed to your payment method, along with any future monthly billing dates that arise until you elect to close your account with Stash.

You are only eligible to participate in this Promotion if you received an offer message to participate directly from Stash. You are only eligible to receive one (1) reward of Bonus Funds hereunder. Bonus Funds must remain in your Personal Portfolio for ninety (90) days beginning from the date the Bonus Funds are deposited into your Personal Portfolio and for the entirety of the 90-day period, or your Bonus Funds will be forfeited. The Bonus Funds deposited by Stash is a fixed cash value and does not constitute stock or any other security, nor is it a recommendation to buy any specific stock or other security. Tax-advantaged accounts (including Stash Retire and Stash Custodial accounts) and a Stash Smart Portfolio are not eligible for this Promotion.

Your Personal Portfolio must be and remain in good standing in order to participate in this Promotion and receive the Bonus Funds. Stash reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion whether an account is closed and/or in good standing. An account in good standing for purposes of this Promotion is an account for which all required account opening documentation has been completed and verified, and is not locked, or restricted, or otherwise flagged in any way. If your Personal Portfolio is closed or not in good standing for any reason at any time, your eligibility to participate in this Promotion and any Bonus Funds or fee waiver you have received will be forfeited.

Monthly platform tier service subscription fees start at $1.00. As noted above, the fee waiver available pursuant to this Promotion is for your monthly Stash Fee attributable to your Stash platform tier for your Fee Waiver Period only. Accordingly, you will remain responsible for any ancillary fees you owe that are not included in your monthly Stash Fee, whether due on your Stash Invest Account, Stash Banking account, Stash Retire account, or Stash Custodial account, as applicable. A list of such ancillary fees is included in our Advisory Agreement. You will bear the standard fees and expenses reflected in the pricing of any exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in your account. Stash reserves the right to amend or cancel this Promotion and/or these Promotion Terms at any time. Stash may withhold or recover any Bonus Funds or a fee waiver if Stash determines that such funds or waiver were obtained under wrongful or fraudulent circumstances, or that you received an invitation from Stash to participate in this Promotion in error, or were awarded to you in error, or that inaccurate or incomplete information was provided when opening your account, or that any terms of our Advisory Agreement, Terms of Use, or these Promotion Terms have been violated. Promotion available to U.S residents only. This Promotion is not valid with any other promotions and is non-transferrable. The value of the Bonus Funds hereunder may be taxable income to you. You are responsible for any federal or state taxes resulting from receipt of the Bonus Funds hereunder and should consult your tax advisor if you have questions about the tax treatment of Bonus Funds. This Promotion is not sponsored or endorsed by Green Dot Bank, Green Dot Corporation, Visa U.S.A., or any of their respective affiliates, and none of the foregoing has any responsibility to fulfill any aspect of this Promotion.

If, for any reason, this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Stash which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, Stash reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with this Promotion, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Promotion. In the event of termination, Stash may in its sole discretion award Bonus Funds or a fee waiver to those who have satisfied the eligibility criteria set forth herein up until the time of termination. Stash assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, this Promotion. Stash is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Stash on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to any person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this Promotion.
