Stash Debit 2% Cash Back Promotion Terms and Conditions

The Promotion

When you open and add funds to your Stash Debit account, and activate your Stash Debit card between May 28, 2019 and July 27, 2019 (the “Promotion Period”), you will receive 2% cash back on the aggregate amount of all qualifying purchases (as further defined below) made with your Stash Debit card that post to your account within 30 calendar days after opening your Stash Debit account (up to a maximum aggregate value of $25). This Promotion is subject to the terms and conditions stated herein (the “Promotion Terms”).

Eligibility

To participate in this Promotion you must open and add funds to your Stash Debit account, and activate your Stash Debit card during the Promotion Period. You must also adhere to all required account opening agreements for a Stash Invest account and Stash Debit account and maintain your Stash Invest account and your Stash Debit account in good standing (as further described below).

Upon successfully opening your Stash Debit account, you will then receive 2% cash back as a lump sum dollar amount on the aggregate amount of all qualifying purchases (as further defined below) made with your Stash Debit card that post to your account within 30 calendar days after opening your Stash Debit account, up to a maximum aggregate value of $25. Your cash back reward will be deposited into your Stash Debit account as a lump sum within 4 weeks of the end of the Promotion Period. The cash back reward deposited by Stash is a fixed cash value and is not stock or any other security, nor a recommendation to buy any specific stock or other security.

Your Stash Debit account at Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC, and your Stash Invest taxable brokerage account advised by Stash Investments LLC each must be in good standing in order to receive any cash back rewards. We and/or Green Dot Bank reserve the right to determine in our and/or its sole or joint discretion whether an account is closed and/or in good standing. An account in good standing for purposes of this Promotion is an account for which all required opening documentation has been completed and verified, and is not locked, or restricted, or otherwise flagged in any way. If either account is closed or not in good standing for any reason at any time, any cash back reward you receive will be forfeited.

A Stash Invest account is an individual brokerage account advised by Stash Investments LLC. Tax-advantaged accounts (including Stash Retire and Stash Custodial accounts) are not eligible for this Promotion.

Qualifying Purchases

For the purpose of these Promotion Terms, qualifying purchases are point-of-sale purchases and online purchases made with your virtual or permanent Stash Debit card issued by Green Dot Bank that have posted to your Stash Debit account.

The following transactions are not qualifying purchases: (1) transactions conducted at an ATM, cash teller withdrawals, and cash withdrawals at point-of-sale, and (2) the purchase of money orders or other cash-equivalents (cash-equivalents include, but are not limited to: third-party gift cards or gift certificates, prepaid open loop cards, coupons, currency, virtual currency, coins, paper money, negotiable items not yet deposited, U.S. treasury bills and commercial paper), and (3) transactions conducted through peer-to-peer (“P2P”) payment services and third-party payment accounts (including but not limited to services such as Venmo®, Square, Inc.’s CashApp® and PayPal® and other similar services) where the funding source is a Stash Debit account or the Stash Debit card. In addition, transactions deemed by Stash and/or Green Dot Bank, in its and/or their sole or joint discretion, to have been manufactured spend will not be deemed qualifying purchases. Stash Debit card purchases that have been authorized but that do not post to your Stash Debit account are not qualifying purchases.

We and/or Green Dot Bank reserve the right to determine in our and/or its sole or joint discretion whether a particular transaction is a qualifying purchase, and also reserve the right to reverse the credit of any cash back reward in the event the qualifying purchase giving rise to the reward is the subject of a return, credit, chargeback or similar rescinded transaction.

Stash may withhold or recover any cash back rewards earned if Stash determines that such rewards were obtained under wrongful or fraudulent circumstances, that inaccurate or incomplete information was provided when opening your account, or that any terms of our Advisory Agreement, Terms of Use, or these Promotion Terms have been violated. Stash reserves the right to amend or cancel this Promotion and/or these Promotion Terms at any time. Promotion available to U.S residents only. This Promotion is not valid with any other promotions and is non-transferrable. The value of a cash reward may be taxable income to you. You are responsible for any federal or state taxes resulting from receipt of such reward and should consult your tax advisor if you have questions about the tax treatment of such reward.
