Stash Golden Tickets Promotion

Terms and Conditions

Effective April 3, 2020 (the “Effective Date”) for participants who receive this promotion described herein directly from Stash.

General Description

The Stash Golden Tickets Promotion (the “Golden Tickets Promotion”) is a promotion offered by Stash Investments LLC (“Stash”) where current Stash customers may give out Golden Ticket Bonuses (as defined below) to their friends and family subject to these terms and conditions (the “Golden Tickets Promotion Terms”). In order to be eligible to claim a Golden Ticket Bonus hereunder, you must be an Eligible Recipient (as defined below) and you must open a Qualifying Stash Invest Account (as defined below) in accordance with these Golden Tickets Promotion Terms.

By choosing to participate in the Golden Tickets Promotion, you are accepting and agreeing to these Golden Tickets Promotion Terms. These Golden Tickets Promotion Terms form an agreement between you and Stash. You should read these Golden Tickets Promotion Terms carefully.

Eligibility

To be eligible to send Golden Ticket Bonuses hereunder, you must on or after the Effective Date: (i) have a Stash Invest Account (as defined below) that is in good standing, and (ii) reach your six month anniversary of being a subscriber to the Stash+ platform tier. Each such person that satisfies the conditions in the previous sentence shall be deemed an “Eligible Sender” for purposes of this Golden Tickets Promotion. Each Eligible Sender will receive three (3) unique referral codes directly from Stash to send to three different Eligible Recipients. These unique referral codes will allow each such Eligible Recipient to claim their Golden Ticket Bonuses, as further described below. The unique referral codes will expire seven (7) calendar days from the date an Eligible Sender receives the unique referral codes directly from Stash.

To be eligible to claim a Golden Ticket Bonus from an Eligible Sender hereunder, you must satisfy each of the following conditions in the following order within seven (7) days from the date your Eligible Sender received their unique referral codes directly from Stash (your “Offer Period”) (each such person shall be deemed an “Eligible Recipient”): 

Step 1: you must receive a unique referral code from an Eligible Sender to participate in the Golden Tickets Program;

Step 2: you must visit https://stash.app/ and enter your unique referral code that you received from your Eligible Sender;

Step 3: you must open a Qualifying Stash Invest Account; and 

Step 4: your Qualifying Stash Invest Account must be and remain in good standing (as defined below). 

For the avoidance of doubt, you will not be deemed an “Eligible Recipient” hereunder if you either: (i) have already completed the process of opening an individual taxable brokerage account advised by Stash prior to receiving an invitation to participate in this Golden Tickets Program, (ii) fail to complete the process of opening a Qualifying Stash Invest Account strictly in accordance with the eligibility steps outlined herein, OR (iii) have already initiated but not completed the process of opening an individual taxable brokerage account advised by Stash and created a unique username and password with Stash prior to receiving an invitation to participate in this Golden Tickets Program. Stash reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion (i) whether any person qualifies as an “Eligible Recipient” or an “Eligible Sender” hereunder, (ii) the expiration date of a unique referral code, and (iii) each Eligible Recipient’s Offer Period.

To constitute a “Qualifying Stash Invest Account” hereunder, an Eligible Recipient must do the following during their Offer Period: (i) complete the process of opening a new individual taxable brokerage account advised by Stash in accordance with these Golden Tickets Promotion Terms (a “Stash invest account”), (ii) link a funding account (e.g. a bank account) to their Stash invest account, and (iii) initiate a minimum deposit of five dollars ($5.00) into their Stash invest account. Tax-advantaged accounts (including Roth IRAs and Traditional IRAs) provided through Stash Retire or Stash Custodial accounts do not constitute a Qualifying Stash Invest Account.

Stash reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion whether a Qualifying Stash Invest Account is closed and/or in good standing. An account in good standing for purposes of this Golden Tickets Promotion is an account for which all required opening documentation has been completed and verified, and is not locked, or restricted, or otherwise flagged in any way. If your Qualifying Stash Invest Account is closed or not in good standing for any reason at any time, any Golden Ticket Bonus you receive hereunder may be forfeited.

Golden Ticket Bonuses

Subject to these Golden Tickets Promotion Terms, Eligible Recipients that complete all of the steps outlined above during their Offer Period will be eligible to claim a one-time cash reward of forty dollars ($40.00), which will be deposited by Stash directly into the cash balance of each such Eligible Recipient’s Qualifying Stash Invest Account (each, a “Golden Ticket Bonus”).

Each Eligible Participant is only eligible to claim one (1) Golden Ticket Bonus during their Offer Period upon completing the eligibility steps outlined above. If you do not complete all of the steps outlined herein in strict accordance with these Golden Tickets Promotion Terms during your Offer Period, you will not be eligible to claim a Golden Ticket Bonus. 

All Golden Ticket Bonuses hereunder will be paid in U.S. Dollars. A Golden Ticket Bonus must remain in your Qualifying Stash Invest Account for ninety (90) days beginning from the date the Golden Ticket Bonus is deposited into your Qualifying Stash Invest Account and for the entirety of the 90-day period. The Golden Ticket Bonus deposited by Stash is a fixed cash value and does not constitute stock or any other security, nor is it a recommendation to buy any specific stock or other security. The value of a Golden Ticket Bonus hereunder may be taxable income to you. You are responsible for any federal or state taxes resulting from receipt of a Golden Ticket Bonus. Please consult your tax advisor if you have questions about the tax treatment of a Golden Ticket Bonus.

Golden Tickets Unique Referral Code

Each unique referral code sent by an Eligible Sender and received by an Eligible Recipient will be subject to the eligibility requirements set forth above. Stash is not responsible for incorrect data entry or other failure on the part of any person to meet the eligibility requirements for this Golden Tickets Program. Further, by choosing to participate in this Golden Tickets Program, each Eligible Sender and/or Eligible Recipient hereby acknowledges and agrees that this Golden Tickets Program and all information provided hereunder will be governed by Stash’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which can be found at https://www.stashinvest.com/disclosurelibrary. 

Each Eligible Sender that sends a unique referral code to an Eligible Recipient hereunder expressly acknowledges and agrees to each of the following:

  1. To only send unique referral codes to people they know personally by utilizing the link included in the email and sharing tools provided by Stash
  2. To only send their unique referral codes to three different Eligible Recipients
  3. Each person that they invite to participate in the Golden Tickets Program will be able to tell that such Eligible Sender sent them a referral code, including authorizing Stash to display such Eligible Sender’s name on their unique referral codes
  4. Unless expressly approved and authorized in writing by Stash, each Eligible Sender may not make any statements to any person they refer to participate in this Golden Tickets Program about Stash’s investment advisory products or services, or about such person’s experience as a Stash customer (as applicable)
  5. Not to make any statements that are untruthful, factually inaccurate, or misleading
  6. Eligible Senders will not receive and are prohibited from receiving any form of compensation in connection with this Golden Tickets Program

Each Eligible Sender also hereby acknowledges and agrees that any modification or efforts to bypass, manipulate, obscure or otherwise modify the delivery and accurate presentation of the unique referral codes, sharing tools, content, disclosures or other materials and instructions provided by Stash in connection with this Golden Tickets Program will be considered a violation of these Golden Tickets Program Terms and Stash may render you ineligible to participate further in the Golden Tickets Program.

Stash reserves the right to refuse to reward any Golden Ticket Bonuses hereunder if it determines that any person has failed to comply with these Golden Tickets Program Terms, particularly with the terms of this “Golden Tickets Unique Referral Code” section.

Other Promotion Information

Stash Investments LLC is an SEC registered investment adviser. Your Advisory Agreement with Stash governs our investment advisory relationship with you and these Golden Tickets Promotion Terms do not in any way amend, supersede, change or replace your Advisory Agreement. You remain responsible for ancillary fees that are not included in the monthly Wrap Fee. A list of such ancillary fees is included in our Advisory Agreement. Stash is not responsible for incorrect data entry or other failure on the part of any person to meet the eligibility requirements for this Golden Tickets Promotion. Further, by choosing to participate in this Golden Tickets Promotion, each Eligible Participant hereby acknowledges and agrees that this Golden Tickets Promotion and all information provided hereunder will be governed by Stash’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which can be found at https://www.stashinvest.com/disclosurelibrary. 

The Golden Tickets Promotion is not sponsored or endorsed by Green Dot Bank, Green Dot Corporation, Visa U.S.A., or any of their respective affiliates, and none of the foregoing has any responsibility to fulfill any rewards earned by this Golden Tickets Promotion.

Stash reserves the right to amend or cancel this Golden Tickets Promotion and/or these Golden Tickets  Promotion Terms at any time. Stash is not responsible for any failure on your part to meet standards for qualifying for this Golden Tickets Promotion. Stash may withhold or recover any Golden Tickets Bonuses or remove you from this Golden Tickets Promotion if Stash determines that such rewards were obtained under wrongful or fraudulent circumstances, or was awarded to you in error, or that you received an invitation to participate in this Golden Tickets Promotion in error, or that inaccurate or incomplete information was provided when opening your account, or that any terms of our Advisory Agreement, Terms of Use, or these Golden Tickets Promotion Terms have been violated. This Golden Tickets Promotion is available to U.S residents only. This Golden Tickets Promotion is not valid with any other offers and is non-transferrable.
