Terms and Conditions

The Promotion

Starting September 30, 2020 (the “Effective Date”), when you open a Stash Invest Account and a Stash Banking Account and make a total of $1,000, in the aggregate, worth of qualifying purchases with your Stash Debit card during your Offer Period, as further described below, we will make a one-time deposit of $50 into the cash balance of your Stash Invest Account. This Promotion is subject to the terms and conditions specified herein (the “Promotion Terms”).

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in this Promotion, you must complete the following steps within ninety (90) calendar days from the date that you complete the process of opening both your Stash Invest Account and Stash Banking Account: (i) both your Stash Invest Account and Stash Banking Account must be in good standing (as further described below), (ii) link a funding account (e.g. an external bank account) to your Stash Banking Account,      (iii) deposit at least one dollar ($1.00)      into your Stash Banking Account from any eligible funding source in order to receive your Stash Debit card, (     iv) activate your Stash Debit card, AND (     v) make at least $1,000 worth, in the aggregate, of qualifying purchases with your Stash Debit card. If you satisfy the conditions stated herein during your Offer Period, Stash will make a one-time deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) into the cash balance of your Stash Invest account (“Bonus Funds”).

You are only eligible to participate in this Promotion if you received an invitation to participate in this Promotion directly from Stash. You are only eligible to receive one cash reward of Bonus Funds during your Offer Period. In the event you complete the conditions outlined above more than once during your Offer Period, you will only receive one deposit of Bonus Funds. The Bonus Funds will be deposited into your Stash Invest Account within five (5) business days from the end of your Offer Period. The Bonus Funds must remain in your Stash Invest account for ninety (90) days beginning on the date the Bonus Funds are deposited into your Stash Invest Account and for the entirety of the 90-day period, which shall be determined by Stash in its sole discretion. The Bonus Funds deposited by Stash is a fixed cash value and does not constitute stock or any other security, nor is it a recommendation to buy any specific stock or other security.

Your Stash Invest Account and your Stash Banking Account at Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC, each must be in good standing in order to participate in this Promotion. We and/or Green Dot Bank reserve the right to determine in our and/or its sole or joint discretion whether an account is closed and/or in good standing. An account in good standing for purposes of this Promotion is an account for which all required account opening documentation has been completed and verified, and is not locked, or restricted, or otherwise flagged in any way. If either account is closed or not in good standing for any reason at any time, you will forfeit any Bonus Funds that you receive.

A Stash Banking Account opened hereunder is also subject to approval by Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC. You must pass Green Dot Bank’s customer identification procedures and otherwise be approved by Green Dot Bank for a Stash Banking Account, and you must agree to electronic delivery of disclosures, Green Dot Bank’s deposit account agreement, and any other account documentation required for opening in order to open a Stash Banking Account. There is no guarantee that you will be approved to open a Stash Banking Account. All references to the “Stash Debit card” hereunder refers to a permanent or virtual Stash Debit card issued by Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC.

Qualifying Purchases

Only qualifying purchases are eligible for purposes of this Promotion. For the purpose of these Promotion Terms, qualifying purchases are point-of-sale purchases and online purchases made with your Stash Debit card that have been posted to your Stash Banking Account within twenty-four hours following the end of your Offer Period.

The following transactions are not qualifying purchases for purposes of this Promotion and thus are ineligible: (1) transactions conducted at an ATM, cash teller withdrawals, and cash withdrawals at point-of-sale; (2) the purchase of money orders or other cash-equivalents (cash-equivalents include, but are not limited to: third-party gift cards or gift certificates, prepaid open loop cards, coupons, currency, virtual currency, coins, paper money, negotiable items not yet deposited, U.S. treasury bills and commercial paper); and (3) transactions conducted through peer-to-peer (“P2P”) payment services and third-party payment accounts (including but not limited to services such as Venmo®, Square, Inc.’s CashApp® and PayPal® and other similar services) where the funding source is a Stash Banking Account or the Stash Debit card. In addition, transactions deemed by Stash and/or Green Dot Bank, in its and/or their sole or joint discretion, as manufactured spend will not be deemed qualifying purchases. Stash Debit card purchases that have been authorized by you but that do not post to your Stash Banking Account within twenty-four hours following the end of your Offer Period do not constitute qualifying purchases hereunder, and are expressly excluded for purposes of this Promotion.

We reserve the right to determine in our sole discretion whether a particular transaction is a qualifying purchase for purposes of this Promotion. We also reserve the right to reverse the credit of any Bonus Funds in the event any qualifying purchase giving rise to your reward is the subject of a return, credit, chargeback or similar rescinded transaction. You will not earn any Bonus Funds if you do not make at least $1,000 worth, in the aggregate, of qualifying purchases with your Stash Debit card during your Offer Period, the value of which shall be calculated by Stash in its sole discretion.

You remain responsible for ancillary fees that are not included in the monthly Wrap Fee. A list of such ancillary fees is included in our Advisory Agreement. A Stash Invest Account is an individual brokerage account advised by Stash Investments LLC. Tax-advantaged accounts (including Stash Retire and Stash Custodial accounts) are not eligible for this Promotion. Stash is not responsible for any failure on your part to meet standards for qualifying for this Promotion. Stash may withhold or recover any Bonus Funds if Stash determines that such cash reward was obtained under wrongful or fraudulent circumstances, or was awarded to you in error, or that you received an invitation to participate in this Promotion directly from Stash in error, or that inaccurate or incomplete information was provided when opening your account, or that any terms of our Advisory Agreement, Terms of Use, or these Promotion Terms have been violated. Stash reserves the right to amend or cancel this Promotion and/or these Promotion Terms at any time. Promotion available to U.S residents only. This Promotion is not valid with any other promotions and is non-transferrable. The value of Bonus Funds may be taxable income to you. You are responsible for any federal or state taxes resulting from receipt of Bonus Funds and should consult your tax advisor if you have questions about the tax treatment of Bonus Funds.
