Terms and Conditions

Effective as of December 16, 2019 for Stock-Back® participants who choose to participate in the promotion described herein

General Description

This Stock-Back® Card Activation Promotion (the “Promotion”) is a promotion offered by Stash Financial, Inc. and/or its affiliates (collectively, “Stash”) to its customers that supplements its Stash Stock-Back® Rewards program – a rewards program offered by Stash in which a Stash debit account holder may choose to participate that enables such holder to earn fractional shares of stock of certain publicly-traded companies and/or exchange-traded funds on certain qualifying purchases made using a Stash Debit card issued by Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC. The Promotion enables you to earn one Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward (as defined below) on your Qualifying Purchase (as defined below) made using your Stash Debit card, subject to the terms and conditions stated herein (the “Stock-Back® Card Activation Promotion Terms”). All references to the “Stash Debit card” or “debit card” hereunder refers to a virtual or permanent Stash Debit card issued by Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC.

When you activate your Stash Debit card and make your Qualifying Purchase between 3:30 PM (ET) on December 16, 2019 and 11:59 PM (ET) on February 7, 2020 (the “Promotion Period”), you will be eligible to earn your Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward as further described below.

By choosing to participate in this Promotion, you are accepting and agreeing to these Stock-Back® Card Activation Promotion Terms. These Stock-Back® Card Activation Promotion Terms form an agreement between you and Stash with respect to the Promotion. You should read these Stock-Back® Card Activation Promotion Terms carefully.

Eligibility

To participate in the Promotion, you must during the Promotion Period (i) have both a Stash Invest account and a Stash Debit account, both of which must be in good standing (as further described below), (ii) be enrolled as a participant in the Stash Stock-Back® Rewards program, which is governed by the Stock-Back® Rewards Terms and Conditions (the “Stock-Back® Program Terms”) and adhere to the Stock-Back® Program Terms, (iii), link a funding account (e.g. a bank account) to your Stash Debit account and initiate a deposit of funds into your Stash Debit account, and (iv) activate your Stash Debit card in accordance with the below. See the full Stock-Back® Program Terms referenced above, which you agreed to when you joined that program, for important disclosures about that program. The Stock-Back® Program Terms are incorporated herein by reference with the same force and effect as though fully set forth herein. 

Once you choose to participate in the Promotion and thereby accept these Stock-Back® Card Activation Promotion Terms, you will be eligible to earn one Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward on your Qualifying Purchase made using your Stash Debit card as further described herein. Stash and/or Green Dot Bank reserve the right to determine in our and/or their sole or joint discretion whether an account is closed and/or in good standing. An account in good standing for purposes of this Promotion is an account for which all required account opening documentation has been completed and verified, and is not locked, or restricted, or otherwise flagged in any way. If either your Stash Debit account or your Stash Invest account is closed or not in good standing for any reason at any time, your Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward received hereunder will be forfeited. A Stash Invest account is a taxable brokerage account advised by Stash Investments LLC.

A Stash Debit account opened hereunder is also subject to approval by Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC. You must pass Green Dot Bank’s customer identification procedures and otherwise be approved by Green Dot Bank for a Stash Debit Account, and you must agree to electronic delivery of disclosures, Green Dot Bank’s deposit account agreement, and any other account documentation required for opening in order to open a Stash Debit account. There is no guarantee that you will be approved to open a Stash Debit account.

Stash Debit Card Activation

To be eligible to receive a Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward hereunder, you must either (i) activate your new Stash Debit card and make your Qualifying Purchase during the Promotion Period, or (ii) activate any replacement Stash Debit card and make your Qualifying Purchase during the Promotion Period. For the avoidance of doubt, if you satisfy the conditions in the preceding sentence more than once during the Promotion Period, you are only eligible to receive one (1) Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward hereunder.

Qualifying Purchase

The term “Qualifying Purchase” means your first qualifying debit card purchase, as such term is described in the Stock-Back® Program Terms, that is authorized by you and a hold was placed on your Stash Debit card for the purchase amount within the first seventy-two hours following the exact time that you activate your Stash Debit card in accordance with the above. If you make your Qualifying Purchase during the Promotion Period, you will be eligible to earn one Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward as further described below.

We reserve the right to determine in our sole discretion whether a particular transaction constitutes your Qualifying Purchase hereunder. We also reserve the right in our sole discretion to reverse the credit of any Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward in the event your Qualifying Purchase giving rise to the reward is the subject of a return, credit, chargeback or similar rescinded transaction. You will not earn a Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward if you do not make your Qualifying Purchase during the Promotion Period.

This Promotion supersedes the Stock-Back® Rewards Bonus Terms and Conditions that can be found here: https://lp.stashinvest.com/stock-back-bonus-promo-terms-and-conditions/. If you make your Qualifying Purchase during the Promotion Period at one of the merchants specified in the Stock-Back® Rewards Bonus Terms and Conditions as available during the Promotion Period, you will only receive your Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward hereunder and you will be expressly exempt from receiving any additional rewards under the Stock-Back® Rewards Bonus Terms and Conditions. Further, Stash may implement multiple, varying versions of its Stock-Back® Rewards program and/or promotions related to its Stock-Back® Rewards program during the Promotion Period (each, an “Additional Stock-Back® Rewards Program”). Accordingly, any rewards prescribed under each Additional Stock-Back®  Rewards Program are expressly exempt for purposes of this Promotion. 

Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward

Subject to the terms and conditions stated herein and only once during the Promotion Period, when you make your Qualifying Purchase you will be eligible to receive your Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward. 

A “Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward” is a Stock-Back® reward equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of your Qualifying Purchase, which shall be fulfilled and credited in the manner noted in the Stock-Back® Program Terms (notwithstanding your Stash platform tier). You are only eligible to receive one (1) Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward upon making your Qualifying Purchase during the Promotion Period.

 

Your Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward will be limited to a maximum cash value of $25.00, which shall be calculated by Stash in its sole discretion.

The Additional Stock-Back® Rewards Programs offered to you may be different than the Additional Stock-Back® Rewards Programs offered to another client. Supplemental terms and conditions will govern any such Additional Stock-Back® Rewards Programs.

Stash may withhold or recover any Stock-Back® Card Activation Reward if Stash determines that such reward was obtained under wrongful or fraudulent circumstances, or was awarded to you in error, or that you received an invitation to participate in this Promotion in error, or that inaccurate or incomplete information was provided when opening your account, or that any terms of our Advisory Agreement, Terms of Use, or these Stock-Back® Card Activation Promotion Terms have been violated.
