*Effective March 18, 2021, the Stash Your Tax Refund 2021 Sweepstakes has been extended. The Promotion Period end date is now June 30, 2021.
The following promotion is intended for Entrants in the United States and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico only and shall be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the United States. Do not proceed in this promotion if you are not a legal resident of the United States. Further eligibility restrictions are contained in the official rules below.
1. ELIGIBILITY: The Stash Your Tax Refund 2021 Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is offered by Stash Cash Management LLC (“Stash”), an affiliate of Stash Financial, Inc. Stash is not a bank or depository institution licensed in any jurisdiction. Sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico who (i) are at least eighteen (18) years of age, and (ii) are a Stash Banking Account Holder (as defined below) at the time of entry (“Entrants”). Void in all U.S. territories and possessions where prohibited by law. This Sweepstakes is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Entrants may be required to meet certain provisions of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, 15 U.S.C. ¬ß 80b-1, and the rules thereunder. Entrants must have Internet access in order to enter the Sweepstakes. Each Entrant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the e-mail address identified in the Entrant’s entry and/or the Entrant’s Stash Banking Account (as defined below). Stash will use commercially reasonable efforts to exclude employees of Stash, and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parents, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and members of the immediate family or household of each, from being eligible to win prizes under this Sweepstakes. Immediate family member is defined as a parent, sibling or any person residing in the same household as an employee of Stash. Stash will be referred to herein as “Sponsor.” For purposes of this Sweepstakes, a “Stash Banking Account” is a Stash-branded debit account powered by Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC, that is and remains in good standing. Each Entrant who has completed the process of opening a Stash Banking Account will be deemed a “Stash Banking Account Holder” hereunder. You must pass Green Dot Bank’s customer identification procedures and otherwise be approved by Green Dot Bank for a Stash Banking Account, and you must agree to electronic delivery of disclosures, Green Dot Bank’s deposit account agreement, and any other account opening documentation required for opening in order to open a Stash Banking Account. There is no guarantee that you will be approved to open a Stash Banking Account. For purposes of this Sweepstakes, a “Stash Invest Account” is an individual taxable brokerage account advised by Stash Investments LLC (“Stash Invest”), an affiliate of Sponsor, that is in good standing.
Stash and/or Green Dot Bank reserve the right to determine in its or their sole or joint discretion whether a Stash Banking Account is closed and/or in good standing. Stash Invest reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion whether a Stash Invest Account is closed and/or in good standing. An account in good standing for purposes of this Sweepstakes is an account for which all required account opening documentation has been completed and verified, and is not locked, or restricted, or otherwise flagged in any way. If an Entrant’s Stash Banking Account or Stash Invest Account is closed or not in good standing for any reason at any time, you may no longer be eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes and any prizes you win in accordance with these rules may be forfeited.
2. PROMOTION PERIOD: Sweepstakes begins on February 09, 2021 at 12:01 AM (ET) and ends on *June 30, 2021 at 11:59 PM (ET) (the “Promotion Period”).
3. TWO (2) WAYS TO ENTER: (A) DIRECTLY DEPOSIT YOUR ELIGIBILITY CHECK TO YOUR STASH BANKING ACCOUNT: To earn one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes, a Stash Banking Account Holder must have one (1) Eligible Check electronically direct deposit and successfully post to their Stash Banking Account during the Promotion Period (a “Direct Deposit Transaction”). An “Eligible Check” for purposes of this Sweepstakes shall only include the following: (i) a tax refund check issued directly to you by a federal or state government agency (e.g. Internal Revenue Service) or a tax services provider (e.g. H&R Block), or (ii) a government stimulus check issued directly to you by the United States federal government under the Economic Impact Payments program.; or (B) FREE ENTRY METHOD: To earn one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes without completing a Direct Deposit Transaction, a Stash Banking Account Holder will be required to complete and submit a designated online survey during the Promotion Period by visiting the following link: https://forms.gle/8exzgcED3ffAF8w17. You must complete the designated online survey in its entirety in order to earn one (1) valid Entry via this method of entry.
Limit up to three (3) total Entries per Stash Banking Account Holder during the Promotion Period, regardless of Entry Method. No purchase required to enter or win. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or stolen entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Sponsor may reject any Entry it believes is the result of fraud or was submitted in violation of these official rules. Stash Retire Accounts (Traditional IRA and Roth IRA), and Stash Custodial Accounts are not eligible under this Sweepstakes.
4. ONE (1) PRIZE AND ITS APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”) WILL BE AWARDED DURING THE PROMOTION PERIOD: ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive one cash prize equal to five thousand dollars ($5,000.00). The Sponsor will deposit the Grand Prize in the form of cash directly into the cash balance of the Grand Prize Winner’s Stash Invest Account. ARV of Grand Prize: $5,000. TOTAL ARV OF ALL PRIZES AWARDED DURING THE PROMOTION PERIOD: $5,000. Limit one (1) Prize per Entrant during the Promotion Period. ALL EXPENSES, TAXES AND COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF PRIZES NOT SET FORTH IN THESE RULES ARE THE OBLIGATION OF THE WINNER. Prize substitutions are not allowed. Prize cannot be transferred or assigned, except at the discretion of Sponsor. Prizes are awarded WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND from Sponsor, express or implied, without limitation.
5. RANDOM DRAWING/SELECTION OF WINNER: One (1) random drawing (the “Random Drawing”) will be conducted on or about ten (10) days following the end of the Promotion Period. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected in the Random Drawing from among all eligible Entries received during the Promotion Period, regardless of Entry Method. Odds of winning depend upon the number of Entries, regardless of Entry Method, received during the Promotion Period. The Random Drawing will be conducted by Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding in connection with this Sweepstakes.
6. GENERAL: The Grand Prize Winner will be notified by Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee by email and telephone within approximately ten (10) days following the Random Drawing. The Grand Prize Winner will be required to complete, sign, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability, a valid copy of their Eligibility Check, as applicable, a Liability Release, and where legal, a Publicity Release and an IRS W2 Form including the Grand Prize Winner’s social security number within five (5) days of first attempted notification. If Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee is unable to contact the Grand Prize Winner after reasonable effort, or if the Grand Prize Winner fails to respond within five (5) days of first attempted notification, that prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible Entries received during the Promotion Period, regardless of Entry Method. If the Grand Prize Winner fails to provide Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee with his/her social security number, the Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified and the Grand Prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible Entries received during the Promotion Period, regardless of Entry Method.
By entering, all Entrants (a) agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of Sponsor (including but not limited to eligibility determinations) which are final and legally binding in all respects; (b) agree to release Sponsor and Green Dot Bank and each of their respective affiliates, employees and agents from any and all liability, loss, damage or injury resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize awarded herein and acknowledge that Sponsor, Green Dot Bank and each of their affiliates and respective directors, officers, employees and agents have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize including, but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose; (c) consent to use of his/her name, photograph and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with this Sweepstakes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law; (d) agree that Sponsor may share his or her entry information, including the information contained on the direct deposit registration form, with Sponsor’s affiliates and/or Green Dot Bank, and (e) agree to Sponsor’s and its affiliates’ use of Entrant’s personal information as described in its or its affiliates’ privacy policy at https://www.stash.com/theprivacypolicy.

7. INTERNET/WIRELESS: If, for any reason, the Internet portion of this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, whether due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of termination, a random drawing to award the Grand Prize may be conducted from all eligible Entries received up until the time of termination. Neither Sponsor nor any of its affiliates assume any responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries. Neither Sponsor nor any of its affiliates is responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email, Direct Deposit Transaction or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute, Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry or attributable to such Entrant’s Stash Banking Account. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
8. DISPUTES: This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in New York having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will Entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than Entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (e.g. costs associated with entering), and each Entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
9. PUBLICITY: By accepting a prize, the Grand Prize Winner grants to Sponsor the right, except where prohibited by law, to use your name, likeness, picture, address (city and state), e-mail address, voice, biographical information and written or oral statements, for advertising and promotional purposes in promoting or publicizing Sponsor and its affiliates and their respective products or services, without compensation unless required by law. You shall have no right of approval, no claim to compensation, and no claim (including, without limitation, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of any use, blurring, alteration, or use in composite form of your name, picture, likeness, address (city and state), email address, biographical information, or entry. The rights granted under this paragraph shall extend to submissions and all other submitted materials related to the Sweepstakes, including those submitted by non-winners and winners.

This Sweepstakes is not sponsored or endorsed by Green Dot Bank, Green Dot Corporation, Visa U.S.A, or any of their respective affiliates, and none of the foregoing has any liability or responsibility to fulfill any prizes earned under this Sweepstakes.
